IFS Food is an international standard for assessing the conformity of products and processes in relation to food safety and quality. From the perspective of a promotional confectionery manufacturer, this is an extremely important certification, which confirms the company’s commitment to maintain the highest level of offered products. Obtaining this certification is associated with documenting the high quality of raw materials used in production, complying with Food Defence principles in the facility, and ensuring continuous improvement of the company.
The certification is supervised by an external German certification body, which checks every stage of production, process, and raw material. All this is to provide you with the SAFEST food product of the HIGHEST QUALITY! ALL INGREDIENTS OF OUR CHOCOLATES AND FILLINGS COME FROM SUSTAINABLE SOURCES
Fairtrade
We offer Fairtrade-certified chocolates: milk (33% cocoa) and dark (72% cocoa). The Fairtrade certification ensures that key ingredients – including cocoa, cocoa butter, and sugar – come from farms that meet ethical trade standards.
Fairtrade stands for:
- fair wages for farmers,
- support for local communities,
- care for the environment.
On the packaging of sweets made with certified couvertures, you’ll also find the black-and-white Fairtrade mark with an arrow – it highlights certified ingredients and ensures consistency in minimalist designs. This prestigious symbol, recognized worldwide, represents responsibility and strengthens brand credibility.

Cocoa Horizons
All our chocolates, pralines, and chocolate-covered dried fruits have the Cocoa Horizons Certificate, which attests to the use of ingredients from sustainable crops and the application of ethical practices.
The Cocoa Horizons Foundation is a non-profit organization overseen by the Swiss federal supervisory organization, which guarantees fair budget allocation and ongoing support to farmers. The mission of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation is to improve the incomes of cocoa farmers and support the development of sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, care for local communities, and education for children. The Foundation promotes the implementation of sustainable agriculture based on good practice and productivity improvement. In its activities, it constantly monitors the needs of farmers and allocates funds for actions that have a positive impact on their incomes.
OUR PAPER AND CARDBOARD PACKAGING COMES FROM RECYCLING OR ECO-FRIENDLY SOURCES
Did you know that as the only company in the promotional confectionery industry in Poland since 2020, we have the FSC® Certificate (FSC® C155076)? It guarantees that we use paper from recycling or controlled cuttings. Thanks to this, we protect forest areas every day! We continuously implement various eco-friendly solutions, expanding our offer with products that are increasingly better for the environment. Our efforts have been rewarded with the European PSI Sustainability award by an international panel of experts. FSC®, the Forest Stewardship Council®, is an organization responsible for the certification of forests and all types of wood and paper products. Acting according to FSC® guidelines allows for obtaining wood without harming the biological wealth and structure of forests.

100% COMPOSTABLE PLASTIC FILM
Due to strict rules regarding food product safety, plastic film is an essential material we use at SLODKIE. To minimize plastic consumption, we were the first in the Polish promotional products market to introduce 100% compostable plastic film. Additionally, we also offer our sweets in packaging where we have reduced plastic film consumption by up to 65%. How is this possible?
The specialized packaging wraps we use provide strong ecological support for the growing consumer demand for more environmentally friendly packaging. Most types of BIO plastic films are over 90% based on renewable resources, such as wood pulp, and have certificates of compliance with European and American standards for packaging suitable for industrial composting.
What is an ideal end-of-life scenario for BIO plastic films? Industrial or home composting! Today, you can order promotional sweets in BIO plastic film and make a good gesture not only for your taste buds but also for our planet!

PACKAGING MADE FROM RECYCLED PLASTIC FILM
Did you know that the plastic film elements of our packaging come from 80% recycled materials and are suitable for recycling again? RPET plastic sheets are made up of 80% production waste (10%), waste purchased in the market (60%), and waste bought back from our supplier’s customers as post-production waste (10%).
Moreover, they are 100% recyclable and suitable for reuse in the processing process. All of this is done for the sake of the environment!

At SLODKIE, we attach great importance to the eco-friendly packaging of our promotional gadgets. Our transport packaging is made from 100% recycled materials! Did you know that when you order our sweet products, you will receive them secured with completely biodegradable fillers? But that’s not all! We also use eco-type plastic film, made from 100% recycled materials and fully reusable. We replace ordinary adhesive tapes with paper ones, and our technologists are constantly working to reduce the use of plastic in our packaging as much as possible.
WE USE 100% GREEN ENERGY
Since January 2023, we have exclusively been using positive energy, which is renewable, and we have a Certificate to prove it. It is 100% GREEN ENERGY! It comes from renewable sources like wind farms and photovoltaic farms. Thanks to this, we reduced our carbon dioxide emissions last year by 336 980 kg! We believe it is essential to care for the natural environment, which is why we are committed to many ways to fight for the world we live in. This is one of them!
